A Workshop Built on Coconut Husk and Patience

Since 1978, our family has soaked, spun and woven coconut husk from the backwaters of Alleppey into mats, rugs and rope that last.

From Husk to Home

It starts in the backwaters, where coconut husk is soaked for months until the fibers soften. From there, our weavers spin it into yarn, then work it on wooden looms into the mats and rugs we sell today.

We still use the same retting ponds and looms my grandfather used when he started this workshop. What's changed is who we sell to — from a handful of neighbors to hotels and homes across the state.
